In this episode, Stacey sits down with Kirsty Nancarrow, a former ABC journalist and chief of staff who shares her compelling journey, from being a frontline journalist exposed to daily trauma to prioritising her mental health and starting her media training business.
She highlights the vital importance of video content in today's digital age, the drastic transformation of journalism over the years, and how sales people can leverage this in a marketplace where buyers are more reluctant than ever to speak with a sales person.
Kirsty speaks candidly about her battle with depression and PTSD while leading a team, how resilience and a supportive network helped her overcome these challenges and how leaders experiencing mental health challenges can best look after themselves and their team.
About Kirsty:
Kirsty Nancarrow was born with a pen in her hand, and a passion for storytelling and people. She started her journalism career on her local newspaper in Sydney at age 18 and she has been in the media industry for almost 30 years.
